I can’t resist the season’s palette of dark red, orange and deep cerise in my garden, so I’ve been painting mini canvases featuring the dahlias, chrysanthemums, nasturtiums and last zinnias which are delivering these shades so beautifully.

The garden is thinning out, but it still has jewels.

I have put some of these small paintings in my web shop, £15 each. Quite a few have sold already, but I’m adding new ones all the time.

This one has just landed.

I just want to wring the last drops from the flower season!

I have a new book to read. I rarely buy new, as I use my library all the time, but I do love the cover of this one, Home by India Knight. I bought it from our local independent bookshop, and it felt like a huge treat! I’m looking forward to dipping in. I have redecorating to consider in the house and I’m hoping it will help me make some colour choices. I want more adventurous shades than the grey and white that we have at the moment.

Have a good weekend.
