I’m mainly writing over on Substack now, but thought I would just check in here, for website visitors and customers popping into my shop, and for anyone who wonders where I’ve gone.
It’s my favourite time of year, my birthday month, when the garden and countryside are greening up and frothing over.

I cannot resist collecting some cow parsley when I’m out cycling, and then when I get home – I have to paint it!

In my garden, the containers are filling nicely. Tulips are giving way to geums, nepeta, salvias and the first planted out cosmos. I have some later flowering bulbs, too, notably Sicilian honey garlic, which is an unusual and rather lovely flower.

Roses are in bud. I have put three side by side in the front garden as I know that passers by will love seeing them, and I can enjoy them from my desk, too. Foxgloves are coming along, and I do value the height they bring to my garden.

So much to look forward to this gardening season. I hope you are experiencing some of the same excitement for growing.
Join me on Instagram or on Substack (it’s a free blog which is delivered direct to your inbox), for regular updates on home and garden. However, I will be posting my annual RHS Chelsea Flower show blog here next week. It’s always an epic!
